Recovery CD For /-dvd T40 (and 365ED If The Idea Is Recent)
I started building Thinkpads with pre-4000 models in mind.
I have two old Thinkpads I'm looking to restore from the original discs (or ISOs I download): one is a 365ED, the other is a T40. Come
Here's the fun part: I work for Lenovo and am in charge of the after-sales service category in the Benelux countries (Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg).asked
I check them inside to see if they can find anything. We don't need it anymore
Given that both versions predate Lenovo and were pretty good for EOS/EOL for a while, I certainly expected this.
Also, I don't know if there are any channels to restore the 365ED. Can anyone shed some light on this?
How do I use a recovery disk?

PS: Is there somewhere on this discussion board the phrase "Hi, I'm new to and next I want to create my own topic"?

Hello, and also, yes, welcome to the oldest floating ThinkPad forum in the world.
How to create lenovo recovery disk windows 7?
To create recovery media for or a service on a Windows operating system, click Start > All Programs, then click Lenovo ThinkVantage Tools > Factory Recovery Disks or ThinkVantage > Create recovery media.
I can get what you want...Play the T40 Recovery CD...
In fact, I had many kits for almost all series from 755CD to T60.
Four or a few years ago, I sold about 100 sets of T series CDs.
As for the old Thinkpads, I have a few too... definitely more than a few... they usually sell by the piece... like a few 701C butterflies, then a few other rare kids that after...
ps: Is there a "Hi, I'm new to this site and want to create myself" somewhere on this blog?
I would be happy to expand my rights so that you can continue to post there. , just ask.

Re: Recovery CD For T40 (and 365ED If Product Exists)
Thanks for the answer. I'll spend some time reading these threads after the weekend. Nice to see that many Thinkfanatics support one of these Alt=":D"
It would be great if someone could give me support for t40-recovery-disk. I'd be happy if it was an ISO file, or I'd be happy to buy one from you, but I guess you'd probably want to keep both for yourself as you only have a backup of each model for what you recorded .somehow it would be more compared to me. Whatever job is for you, any man will do it for me!
I was happybrowse all local dutch on alternative sites that require craigslist etc but quite a few old Thinkpads We (say T410ish) used to be found.
If you're still shipping your "old Thinkpads" I might be interested, but I probably wouldn't be if, for example, shipping alone could cost me a fortune.
I'll post a more compact intro later (probably tomorrow at 23:00 Moscow time). I'm glad to be on board too!
I would like to contribute to the blog if I have something to add

Re: Recovery CD For T40 (and If 365ed Exists)
I'm also going through a similar scenario, but I don't work for Lenovo. I recently started building IBM Thinkpads, which are pretty good. Do I need recovery discs for T30 and T40 with Windows XP Professional.
If anyone could help that would be great, thanks!

Re: Recovery CD For T40 (and 365ED If You Have One)
Thanks for the answer and for the site,
But unfortunately I found these recovery discs, already made copies, and people are running Windows 93SE. I'm determined to find editions of Windows Professional XP...
From research toFrom what I found, they never officially released the T30, let alone the T40 recovery discs. Each recovery strategy was one per partition one per hard drive type (might be wrong). Since the Thinkpad I found doesn't have a hard drive, I have no chance of recovering it.
